Blog tip: I shoot shows.

I've always like introducing great blogs and other sites if I stumble across one, I just think the blogging world needs to do some more sharing. And the world in general as well. Anyway, a while back I found ishootshows.com!

Now I've visited other online portfolios as well and even read a lot of blogs kept by photographers but never have I been this impressed. Though I've always wondered why hasn't anyone started anything like this before (you know; not only post the pictures but also talk about the stories behind the shots, still remembering to keep the viewpoint  of a photographer) I haven't found one and I certainly don't have the skills to keep one of my own.

The site shows the phenomenal photography of Todd Owyoung who is a freelance photographer specializing in live music photography and band portraits. He has shot for many great magazines such as Rolling Stone, SPIN, and Alternative Press to name a few. I'm nearly certain that the site wouldn't be such a success if the author of it would be less skilled in photography. Still, the genius of the site in my opinion lies in the articels. Ishootshows has great posts all the way from how to become a concert photographer and getting a photo pass for a show to concert etiquette, improving your pictures through editing and creating the best portfolio in town.

Overall if you're at all interested in photography or have special interest in live photography, tune into Ishootshows and subscribe. I for one have spent a countless amount of hours briwsing through the site always finding something new and interesting.

XOXO
Joanna
